NEW ENGLAND TECHnology FOUNDATION Awards over $100,000 to children's Charities
Check Presentation Made at Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser, an Event Raising over $25,000 for Additional Charity Grants
Boston, MA - July 18, 2007 - The New England Technology Foundation (NE Technology Foundation) today announced that it has awarded the latest round of grants to deserving children's charities throughout New England. A check presentation in the account of $105,000 was made at the NE Technology Foundation's annual golf tournament. These funds will be distributed to twenty-two grassroots children's charities focused on education, medical and social needs.

"Each of these charities is doing outstanding work that helps improves children's lives," said Kevin Wiant, president of the NE Technology Foundation. "It is particularly gratifying to award the funds at our golf event, during which we raised over $25,000 for the next round of grants. The technology community is truly stepping up and assisting hundreds of children in our region thru these charities."
The NE Technology Foundation's next event is the annual networking gala, will be on Friday, November 15 at the Westin Waltham. There are a variety of sponsorship opportunities for companies interested in supporting the event and the NE Technology Foundation's mission. Individual tickets are available as well. Its mission is to bring the region's technology community together to raise funds for social, medical, and educational organizations that benefit the children of New England. Since its inception, the NE Technology Foundation has donated over $1.3 million dollars to over fifty charitable organizations. The NE Technology Foundation is an all-volunteer organization.
The NE Technology Foundation hosts an annual fundraising event in the fall and golf tournament in the spring. Companies in the technology community throughout New England are invited to support and participate in the events as corporate sponsors. Funds raised from the events are then awarded to a selected group of non-profit organizations supporting the needs of children.
