To raise funds for our 2009 grant cycle, The New England Children’s Foundation is hosting a fundraiser around the US’s attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most kites flown simultaneously. Patriot Place will host this event and we invite you to take part in this exciting opportunity. In addition to the fun and visual effects this event will provide, we also expect to draw Boston’s leaders, the press, and New England Children’s Foundation sponsors and their families.
The focus of the day will be three fold:
· raise awareness and necessary funds for New England’s neediest children;
· provide visibility to our sponsors;
· and most importantly, break a Guinness World Record!
Hosting at Patriot’s Place makes the destination a key part of this fantastic event. Fly a Kite for Kids will be a great family outing for all ages, and we encourage you to invite your co-workers, their families and friends to join us for this afternoon of fun. Patriot Place will provide a stage with live music, and select a few vendors to offer food, drink and merchandise at the launch site. To facilitate the count we will be breaking in to ‘Kubes’ of 25 to 40 fliers. We would like to have your company, organization, school group or neighborhood work together on this fete by offering to become a Kite Kaptain. If you can't be a Kaptain, but want to fly together in a group, just let us know and we can make special arrangements to have you all fly, and have fun, together!
